Maryborough
is known as the Heritage City,
famous for it's many colonial
buildings and beautiful parks. It is
also a progressive city with modern
educational, sporting and medical
facilities.
Burrum Heads is often
regarded as Hervey Bay's best kept
secret. Burrum Heads is a peaceful
village and you can enjoy great
views, sandy beaches, birdwatching
and superb fishing.

Toogoom
is a very picturesque area with magnificent
unspoilt beaches and foreshores. Great
fishing, wildlife, birdwatching, swimming,
winery and tea gardens.

Howard
is a small country town which has the
friendly atmosphere for which all small
communities are renowned. The main
attraction is historical Broooklyn House.
Tourists can also visit The Burrum District Museum
in Howard open Tuesdays and Wednesdays and the 1st Saturday of each month from 9 -12.

Torbanlea
is a historic mining township. Lenthalls Dam off the
Bruce Highway near Torbanlea is a fishing
and boating paradise.

River
Heads, a short scenic drive from
Hervey Bay with excellent views of Fraser
Island, and well known as a departure
point for the barges to Fraser Island. The
boat ramp is suitable for launching a
large range of boats with ample parking.
The rock fishing is excellent.
