Vehicle
permits

If you are visiting Fraser Island in your own 4WD vehicle, you will need to obtain a vehicle access permit.
Your vehicle access permit booking number is to be written on a VAP tag and affixed to the lower left hand side of your vehicles
windscreen and displayed prior to entry. Before arriving on Fraser Island you MUST COLLECT a Fraser Island Information pack containing maps and important safety information along with your Vehicle Service Permit and / or Camping
Tag.

Fees
|
The fee for a 4WD entry permit is AU$ 35.40
(valid for up to one month for private vehicles)
or AU$ 177.30 (valid for up to one
year).
Three vehicular barges operate daily from Hervey
Bay
and tickets cost
AU$ 140.00 return per vehicle incl driver
& 3 pasengers.
Extra vehicle passengers are AU$9.00 each.
Walk on Barge fares on the Fraser Dawn and
Fraser Venture barges cost
AU$ 24 return and $30 on the Kingfisher Barge.

Be
Dingo Aware
Anywhere on Fraser Island, on public or private land, it is an offence to feed a dingo, attract it using food or food waste, or disturb it in any way. Maximum penalty $3000. On-the-spot fines of $225 apply. |
